Start Classical Greece Tour: Athens – Kalambaka/Meteora: 365kms (Amalia hotel 4* - 1 night)

Depart in the morning for the small town of Kalambaka. Free time upon arrival. In the afternoon, continue to scenic Meteora, a unique geological formation of spectacular isolated peaks that provided refuge to monks. Visit 2 ancient monasteries in Meteora. Overnight in Kalambaka (BB/D)


Wed/24 MAY:

Kalambaka – Delphi (Amalia hotel 4* - 1 night) (260kms)/This could be changed to Arachova/Anemolia 4* - 1 night (depending on tour occupancy/capacity.

Depart for Delphi. Free time upon arrival in the early afternoon. Explore the famous archeological site and visit the Archaeological Museum of Delphi, home of the renowned oracle. Of all the ancient Greek sites, Delphi is one of the most captivating. Overnight in Delphi or Arachova. (BB/D)


Thurs/25 MAY:

Delphi/Arachova – Antirrio – Olympia – Nafplion (455kms): Amalia Hotel 4* (2 nights)

Depart for the Rio-Antirrio Bridge, a cable-stayed bridge that links Peloponnese to continental Greece, and stop for photos. Then, head to Olympia to visit the site and museum in the afternoon. Continue to Nafplion, tinged with Italian influences and dominated by 2 fortresses: Acronauplia and Palamidi. Overnight in Nafplion. (BB/D)


Fri/26 MAY:

Nafplion – Epidaurus – Mycenae – Corinth Canal – Athens (Lavrion)/(228 kms).

End Classical Greece Tour and embark cruise ship for 7 night cruise

Depart for the region of Argolis and historic Epidaurus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its theatre is renowned for acoustics so perfect that, even after 23 centuries, you can hear a coin drop on the stage from the back row. Visit Mycenae, the kingdom of Agamemnon. Stop for photos of the impressive Corinth Canal. Continue to Lavrion in Athens, and board the cruise ship. (BB/D) Cruise departs at 9:00PM



This morning, you'll reach Santorini at 7:00AM. Santorini is truly a spectacular sight with its steep red cliffs and shades of black, with its whitewashed houses perched atop. At 6:30pm, you will depart for Izmir, Turkey. (BB/L/D)


Sun/28 MAY:

Arrive in Izmir, Turkey's second largest port at 8:00AM for a full day's visit.

EXCURSION INCLUDED: Visit the ancient city of Ephesus, where you'll discover the eternal relics of the Hellenistic, Roman and Christian eras (guided tour of the archaeological site is included). Depart Izmir at 9:00PM (BB/L/D included onboard)


Mon/29 MAY:

Arrive in Nafplion, Greece at 9:00AM, for another full, leisurely day. This city is tinged with Italian influences and dominated by 2 fortresses: Acronauplia and Palamidi, (BB/L/D onboard), departing at 9:00PM


Tue/30 MAY:

Arrive Chania, Crete's second largest city at 8:00AM.  

EXCURSION INCLUDED: Discover the landscapes that are characteristic of the west coast of the island, followed by a visit to an olive oil producer. Depart Chania at 6:00PM (BB/L/D onboard).


Wed/31 MAY:

Arrive Rhodes, Greece, the island of the knights at 8:00 AM.

EXCURSION INCLUDED: Medieval tour featuring the Acropolis of Lindos, and the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knight of Rhodes. (BB/L/D onboard)

Depart Rhodes at 5:00PM


Thu/1 JUN

Arrive Cesme, Turkey at 7:00AM. Cesme is one of the Aegean's main seaside resort. Depart for Mykonos at 1:30PM in the afternoon. North of the Cyclades archipelago (nicknamed Pearls of the Aegean), Mykonos is a must-see for its windmills and beaches. (BB/L/D onboard). Arriving in Mykonos this evening at 7:00PM, you will catch the beautiful sunset of the Greek Islands, before setting ashore for some evening dining if you wish, or sit in one of the local tavernas for some lively music.


Fri/2 JUN: Departing Mykonos at 3:00AM, you will arrive in the early morning back in Athens at Lavrion port approximately 9:00AM. From the port, you will be transferred to your Athens hotel for 3 nights (Breakfast included each day).


Sat/3 JUN: Athens, Greece

Enjoy free time to explore the many facets of Athens, the cradle of European culture with its sacred Acropolis atop a craggy hill - symbol and jewel of the classical era. Mon/5 JUN: Athens, Greece to Toronto. You will be transferred from your Athens hotel back to the airport for your return flight which departs at 11:20AM, arriving in Toronto at 3:05PM the same afternoon.

Flight to Prague via Montreal.


DAY 2: Prague

Arrive in Prague and transfer to your hotel. (D)


DAY 3: Prague (Stare Mesto • Mala Strana)

After breakfast, set off for a guided tour of Stare Mesto, Prague’s Old Town. Explore Republic Square, the Municipal House and Powder

Tower. See the Old Town City Hall and its famous Astronomical Clock dating back to the 15th century. After crossing the Charles Bridge, continue to Mala Strana, the Baroque neighbourhood at the foot of Prague Castle. Then, visit the Church of Our Lady Victorious and see the Church of St. Nicholas (exterior). (BB)


DAY 4: Prague • Hluboka • Ceske Budejovice (170 km)

Depart for the charming region of South Bohemia. Stop in Hluboka to visit its Windsor-inspired castle. Continue to Ceske Budejovice. Lunch during the visit. Head to the Budweiser-Budvar brasserie for a tour and tasting, followed by a city tour of Ceske Budejovice, the seat of the prefecture of South Bohemia. Founded in 1265 by King Přemysl Otakar, this city is located at the junction of the Vltava and Malše rivers and has a chequered layout. See its 13th century Dominican convent and the Church of the Presentation of Virgin Mary, whose Gothic frescoes were recently restored. The 72-metre, Gothic- and Renaissance-style Black Tower dominates Ceske Budejovice and offers breathtaking views of the city and surroundings. Its one-hectare main square is home to the lovely Samson Fountain, one of the country’s biggest fountains. (BB/L/D)


DAY 5: Ceske Budejovice • Cesky Krumlov • Ceske Budejovice (110 km)

In the morning, depart for Cesky Krumlov, a stunning, picturesque city nestled in a deep valley along the Vltava River in South Bohemia, and whose historic centre is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire its delightful blend of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architecture as you stroll along its winding alleyways. Discover the castle overlooking the city. Afternoon at leisure. (BB)


DAY 6: Ceske Budejovice • Trebon • Wachau • Vienna (250 km)

Depart for Austria. Stop in Trebon, a small spa town and the carp capital. Its many ponds dug out by hand abound with the carps used to

prepare traditional feasts during Christmas time. Visit the city centre and its charming square surrounded by Renaissance houses. Explore the castle. Walk around the Svet pond to the Schwarzenberg family tomb, a neo-gothic structure in the middle of a wooded park (time permitting). Then, continue to Austria. Arrive in Wachau, one of the Danube’s most romantic valleys. Brief stop in the charming town of Dürnstein, to see

the ruins of the castle where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. Lunch at leisure before leaving for Vienna. (BB/D)


DAY 7: Vienna

Depart for the Schönbrunn Palace, the “Versailles of Vienna” and former summer residence of the imperial family. See its reception halls,

apartments of Maria Theresa and Emperor FrançoisÉtienne of Lorraine, and superb French garden. In the afternoon, visit the historic centre and its main buildings, including the Hofburg Imperial Palace, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Vienna State Opera, City Hall, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Austrian National Library. DAY 8: Vienna • Budapest (280km)

Morning at leisure to enjoy Vienna. Depart for Budapest in the afternoon. (BB/D)


DAY 9: Budapest

Visit Buda and Buda Castle (exterior), followed by Matthias Church, officially called the Church of Our Lady. See the Fisherman’s Bastion that dominates the river. Begin the afternoon with a guided tour of Pest, the lively shopping district. Discover Heroes’ Square with its statues of the founding fathers of Hungary, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Hungarian State Opera, St. Stephen’s Basilica and the Hungarian Parliament Building bordering the Danube. End the afternoon at Central Market Hall. (BB)


DAY 10: Budapest

Day and lunch at leisure to experience the city. (BB)


DAY 11: Budapest • Bratislava • Brno (330 km)

Depart for Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Enjoy a guided tour of the historic centre and discover St. Martin’s Cathedral, as well as the castle dominating the Danube. Lunch at leisure before departing for Moravia. (BB/D)


DAY 12: Brno • Lednice-Valtice • Brno (140 km)

Depart for the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the sculpted wood interiors and the magnificent spiral staircase during a visit to Lednice Castle. Enjoy a boat ride along the Dyje River, which flows through the castle’s park. Valtice, the second castle, was the splendid residence of the lords of Liechtenstein of Austria and Moravia. It is not only known for its beauty, but long tradition of viticulture as well. End the day with wine tasting. (BB)


DAY 13: Brno • Trebic • Telc • Prague (270 km)

Stop in Trebic for a stroll through the Jewish Quarter, one of the most well-preserved in all of Europe, and then visit St. Procopius Basilica. Depart for Telc, bordering Bohemia and Moravia. Visit this charming city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. Visit the superb castle and beautiful English garden, with its ravishing, Renaissance- and Baroque-style main square. Continue to Prague. (BB/D)


DAY 14 Prague (Hradcany)

Spend the morning exploring Hradcany, the Prague Castle neighbourhood. Visit St. Vitus Cathedral, as well as the Old Royal Palace’s Vladislav Hall and Old Diet Chamber. Admire St. George’s Basilica and stroll along the Golden Lane. The rest of the day is at leisure. (BB)


DAY 15: Prague

Day at leisure to continue exploring this magnificent city. In the evening, enjoy a folk evening with a typical farewell dinner and traditional
